Hahnemühle® Sumi-e Sheet 19" x 25"

Specially designed by Hahnemühle for Japanese Sumi-e painting, this absorbent paper was created with traditional ink painting techniques in mind.

Made with lignin-free alpha cellulose, this natural white, acid-free, 40lb (80 gsm) paper is very absorbent, ideal for freestyle brush painting, with quick movements yielding expressive lines. Its slightly variegated look with a subtly rough texture allow for a beautiful variety of effects. Ideal for traditional sumi inks and india ink, try this paper for both brush painting and as a receptive surface for calligraphy.
